REGISTER FOR 2022!On September 11, 2021, 80 golfers came together at Painted Desert Golf Club for our Inaugural Golf Fundraiser. The goal of this event was to raise awareness of children with rare diseases. As golfers played their way through the course, they had the opportunity to learn about 18 wonderful local LMHF kids (our VIPs) as well as rare disease facts. Each tee box had a poster of a VIP child that contained their photo, name, diagnosis, and some fun facts about them. Many golfers said they were moved to tears as they learned about the amazing children of our organization. Golfers, who also happened to be parents of our VIP kids, would often stop for a photo opp in front of their child’s VIP sign on the tee box. The overwhelming feeling of support was felt throughout the course!
After everyone finished their 18 holes, golfers were invited back to the clubhouse to see who the raffle prize winners were and to have lunch. It was extremely moving to look around the clubhouse, and see that every table was filled, as well as people standing at the bar….and to know that every single person was there to support children with rare diseases. As I walked throughout the clubhouse and chatted with different people about the organization, I kept becoming overwhelmed with emotion. The feeling of this event was absolutely priceless, and I am truly speechless at the turnout and success. I am so proud of our community for the support!!!

- $3,960 raised by golfer registration
- $1,000 raised in food/beverage
- $11,600 raised in donations & hole sponsorships
